Oooohohohoooo.....gooooood question.....(im not normal about these two sorry) It's pretty complex and complicated, to say the least I dunno, there's alot going between these two, I could write an entire wikipedia page just about them, much longer than whatever i wrote about the relationship between with deth and spiral lol Also if you want to understand their releationship, you gotta also understand evil green's releations with the hobo, since that plays a huge role in it..or how they used to know each other many years ago so basically like, deth hates green, cause he finds him weird and annoying, for not leaving him alone and for just being nice to him when he wasnt asking for it at all, like green showing up at deth's shitty home repeatedly and TRYING to make him feel better ("i can fix him" ass), since green was all alone and wanted to still feel useful and the fact that earlier deth mistakened green for killing him instead in the datura trip when in reality it was evil green who actually killed him oh yeah, and the fact that deth finds eg more tolerable, literally bro started to find him kinda cool just, cause he listens death grips too...maaan...rarely are there any dg fans nearby.....so that meant something to deth lmfao and just cause in a way he finds him somewhat relatable, yk, both of them lacking any empathy, viewing very lowly of everycreg else, yet eg could care LESS about deth, in fact bro dislikes him, mainly, because of somethings in the past...im not telling, find out urself bro oh and how deth is the least out of three that doesnt remember anything years ago, green comes in second, can't remember alot of things too, but not as bad as deth, and then there's eg, who's still holding strong grudges against deth and remembers the most bruh..and these two were just buddies...or atleast teen eg thought...ok nope im not revealing anything else eheheheh id appreciate if ppl would try to find out on their own and maybe come up with their own theories oooooohh...the creglore theory.....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THEIR PAST CONVOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or also green's posts, though it's hinted vaguely on some of the posts

Oooh, good question, though you're getting a really long answer They never really were in an actual releationship (meaning that they don't share actual mutual feelings) It all began when spiral find out about deth's existence (deth was still relatively a "chill" guy..) and became obsessed with him, I dunno, spiral just likes the lowest of the lowlives, just complete losers and deth is of course that deth would at first get weird anonymous messages from him, until spiral started taking moar action and straight up sneaking into his room (back when deth was staying at strawb) that of course, would start making deth paranoid, when it comes to romantic stuff and releationships, deth doesnt understand them, if anything, he finds them far too overwhelming or repulsive so knowing somecreg out there wants to be your kissymate, while also actively sneaking on you...and if you get sick at even the thought of being in a relationship, of course that's gonna fuck you up the thing is, spiral has mostly ill intention towards deth, he wants to pretty much mentally torture deth, to piss him off and or make him scared, sometimes threatening him with cannibalism lol the other major moments between these two, was when deth "died" the first time, spiral carried his heavy ass body to his own home and would kinda look after his corpse, trying to revive him back until yep, deth did eventually came back to life, despite feeling numb all over, he gets the fuck out of spiral's home and his martian buddy (actually his back then plug) aka alien creg lets him stay in his ufo and the other major point was when evil scientist creg gave spiral pretty much a love potion, while deth was outside in his beloved woods after he took alien's weed jar, after he got pissed off at deth for crashing his ufo onto green creg's home spiral spiked the weed jar after that hobo was distracted trying to light his dead lighter up and eventually got another lighter from aj creg nearby lol after deth tried the first blunt, spiral shortly after appeared in his eyes and suddenlyyyy...the way he used to view spiral has completely changed and began clinging onto him yeah nope, ew, deth was pretty much glued onto spiral, tho you do get to kinda understand spiral, like why is he the way he is, his parents not rlly gaf abt him and never truly loved him, as stated in his posts oh yeah, the spiked alien weed effect lasted like for two days, so the last time when deth and spiral interacted physically was when they were sleeping on the bed, until when deth woke up in the room and starts to fucking panic and jumps off of the window lmfao ..., then later spiral came back to his room to see the broken window and got pissed off at that this in the end fucked up deth that bad to the point, he started to isolate himself from everycreg and eventually finding his shitty old home in the woods yeah, idk, the loving potion arc in my opinion is the scariest one, just cause of how unnatural it is but anyways, deth at first was scared of spiral, then just got mostly annoyed and spiral only felt like some annoying pest to him, until he became paranoid of him again you know it's bad if a literal shape (swirls/spirals lmfao) makes you wanna go apeshit
